Green Green Grassland is located on the southwest side of Lanyu, some distance away from the village center of Imorod. The raised coralline reef plateau of Green Green Grassland is the ideal getaway for people looking to find the ends of the Earth. The endless stretch of yellow-green grassland forms a seamless scenery with the ocean and the sky. The edge of the grassland is a cliff with the vast ocean beyond, perfect for admiring the sunset with a glass of cold beer in your hand.
How do you get there?
If you travel in a clockwise direction, you will reach the destination shortly after passing the nuclear waste storage site and Longmen Port; if you go in a counterclockwise direction, you will need to pass through the village center of Imorod and continue south. The entrance is by the round-the-island highway marked by a stone road sign. There are usually numerous easily identifiable stalls by the entrance such as Yojo, Lanyu Di, hand-dyed cloths, and souvenirs.
Notes
1. Vehicles that cannot enter the grassland must be parked on either side of the entrance.
2. It takes 10-20 minutes to walk from the entrance to the interior of the grassland (depending on the person's fitness). There are gently sloping stone trails throughout the journey, so remember to stay hydrated.
3. The edge of the grassland is a cliff, travelers must observe safety when taking pictures.
4. The grassland is currently not a farming land, so the height of the grass height can be as tall as the thigh and waist. Travelers who are afraid of scratches and mosquito bites can wear long-sleeve clothing.
